Do you know what Fluorocarbon Viton is?

Fluorocarbon Rubber, popularly known as Viton, offers the highest degree of heat resistance at temperatures between 200°C and 300°C and may be used continuously. You can choose from various grades depending on whether the main concern is compression set, flexibility (as with diaphragms), or chemical resistance.

Die-Cut Products offers a wide selection of sponges & rubbers for your custom fabrication needs, including both solid rubbers and open-cell and closed-cell sponge rubbers. In addition, we provide all materials with cure dates, shelf lives, and supplier test reports directly from the mill.

Benefits

Fluorocarbon Viton has high swelling resistance when exposed to gasoline and high resistance to degradation due to exposure to UV light and ozone. A fluorocarbon elastomer can become quite hard (-4°F) at low temperatures but still be serviceable.

Fluorocarbons are low gas permeability materials, which make them useful in vacuum applications, and many formulations are self-extinguishing.
